Malgré les délais incessants de « The R.E.D. Album », The Game ne laisse pas ses auditeurs sans rien et a sorti deux mixtapes récemment avec que des sons inédits, la première tape « Purp & Patron » comporte 29 morceaux avec Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, KRS-One, Pharrell Williams en feats et Dr. Dre, RZA, The Neptunes, Mr. Porter, DJ Green Lantern… au niveau prods. Une semaine après cette avalanche de nouveaux sons, Game remet le couvert avec « Purp & Patron (The Hangover) » et 15 nouveaux titres (quasiment). Comme il l’annonce dans « The Hangover », il a enregistré cette tape en une nuit avec un match de basket comme repère temporel pour le prouver. Sortie le 1er Février 2011.

Au total presque 45 sons inédits (à quelques exceptions près), du bon et du moins bon. Mais on peut saluer l’initiative de Game à sortir gratuitement une quarantaine de morceaux (les deux tapes lui ont coûté 40.000 $ pour la p’tite info) là ou d’autres nous ressortent des anciens morceaux, freestyles ou vous font payer pour quelques morceaux.
